Peace & Quiet

Peace and Quiet is comprised of Walt Jones, Carl Fritch, Doug Salter, and Gary Horan. They have created a classic rock band that is a tight, solid and takes you back to the time when high energy rock was the banter for an entire generation that lived through the 60's, 70's, and 80's. The early beginings of the Band started back in the mid 60's and evolved into the current members in 1978. There are not many bands that have had the same core members for almost 30 years!. With the tragic death of Mike Gabbitas in the early 80's and with Jim Goodin moving to California for a career change, the core of the band has not changed. Many female vocalists have also contributed to the sound of Peace & Quiet over the years. The band now is beginning a new phase in their live performances. Not only do they have many of their own originals that have created international appeal, with a top 40 hit in Europe during the summer of 1999, they can also perform over 300 cover songs from the greats rockers from the 60-90's.

Karaoke has become very popular in the US and Peace & Quiet now offers their audiences the opportunity to perform karaoke with a live band!!! These "wanna be" stars can now get the real feel of perfoming with a live band in front of a live audience!!! This new functionality of the band is creating a strong demand for their services in venues that have the vision of this new capabilities. The "wanna be star" still has the functionality of seeing the words across a screen so they are never left "high and dry" just like the typical karaoke "canned" machines used worldwide. The hard work of computer programming of Carl Fritch has enabled the band this new functionality. During times when there isn't a "brave" soul to come on stage, Peace & Quiet still performs songs like any other live cover band, thus showing the crowds they perform in front of, that they are really one of the great band to come out of Utah.
